Senior students on our Student Council attended Westmeath Comhairle na nÓg in Bloomfield House Hotel, Mullingar on Tuesday, November 25th. They joined all of the other second level schools in the county to discuss topics of interest for young people. Topics included peer pressure, exam pressure, littering, road safety and climate change.
Young people enjoyed the opportunity to express their opinions on issues that affect them. An enjoyable time was had by all.
Students were also invited to join Westmeath Comhairle na nÓg, which is the Young County Council. Lilly Farrell in TY represents our school. She joined in Second Year after attending Comhairle na nÒg and she is thoroughly enjoying her experience. Students can contact Comhairle na nÓg Westmeath on social media or on the official Westmeath Comhairle na nÓg website if they are interested in joining.
