The inaugural match on our new Soccer Pitch at Mercy Kilbeggan Campus West was played on October 12th, where our U17 Boys Team took on St. Paul’s, Raheny in the cup. Over the course of the game our boys created numerous chances and deserved to win the game, yet were beaten 3-2.
A slow start was ultimately the difference as we found ourselves 0-2 down after 15 minutes. From there, we controlled the game, playing some great football as Darren Corcoran put his name twice on the scoresheet. We then missed several chances, conceded an unlucky goal, and had a late goal weirdly disallowed denying Darren a deserved hattrick. The attention now turns to the league campaign for this talented group of players.
