On Tuesday 10th March, our TY Junk Kouture finalists and 3rd Year Art students travelled to the Helix to compete and watch the Junk Kouture Regional Final. We had 3 groups successfully chosen to take part in the regional final:
‘Reclaimed by Roots’ (Alannah Cheetham, Louise Maxwell, Therese Daly)
‘Givin’ it Socks’ (Meg Bennett, Sinéad O’Brien, Grace Maloney)
‘The Wonder of the Western World’ (Diarmuid Rowan, John Twomey, Eoin Brennan)
Following the final, it was announced that ‘Reclaimed by Roots’ and ‘Givin’ it Socks’ were chosen to advance to the Dublin City Final (date yet to be announced)!
We’re very proud of all the Transition Year students who entered a design, for all their hard work!
